Screams of joy rang in my ears as the other cabin team had thirty seconds to left.Then I heard it “next group you're going in 3,2,1 GO!”As I was first I gabed the cup of water and started zigzagging through poles , crawling under nets and jumping over hurdles and bome I hit the hard soil and slid down the slippery ,wet and grassy   water slide yes I thought finished my first round and still have 3/4 of my water in cup.It felt great to have the cold fresh air fly past my face as I raced round the course time and time again as I heard the water sloshing around my cup and my grassy feet hit the wet grassy ground and saw my trusty teammates doing the same thing.It was very surprising how tired I was getting feeling my breathing getting faster and faster just a little more I thought as are instructor Shouted out.” 1 minute to go.”

After all the cabins had gone and we raced speedily around in free for all suddenly I dived onto the water slide but went way over speed and  slid off the end and got my te-shirt really muddy “Ew”I whispered to myself but really I quite enjoyed getting muddy.

Soon afterward I was raising my hands high above my head to put my dirty and soggy clothes on the washing line and slowly peeling my even damper shoes off my grassy feet after we had finished early to get ready for our next fun activity.”WOW!” I muttered “I bet that is going to be the best activity today”.

I would like to learn to read the clock faster-to achieve this I will stop asking my brother if I could look at his digital watch and use the analog clock on the wall as often as I can. I definitely won't get someone to read it for me.I will also test myself every two weeks.

I want to get faster at my  7,8,6 and 12 time tables-to do this I will make flash cards and hang them on the wall I will also go on hit the button 1 a week as well as getting my dad to test me.

I would like to use different vocabulary in my writing.Like adjectives and  exiting nouns- to do this I will edit my work more and use the thesaurus when I can I will also ask my parents to use new exciting words when we speak

My goal is to be even more of a risk taker and to take all the opportunities I get - to do this I will take all the opportunities at camp and at school even if I am scared I will also put 100% into everything I do.

What did we do for the first weeks of school.

 

Room 16 , 2017.A New year and my last year at Pine hill. It's a great start not only did I signed up for cluster swimming, choir, netball, F.O.P.S, library monitor, kapa haka ,and tried out for house captain but sadly did not become house captain I got a certificate and the class shield already!

Now let's talk ART!Firstly I made sizzling summer scene which was fantastically fun, first step was draw a stencil  for half of your creative glasses.

second was copied it onto a piece of large paper flip the stencil over to make the other lenses and join it together with the bridge of the glasses.thirdly we drew a scene in each one of the glasses. Forth we colored it all in and cut it out and are master pieces were finished.We are currently in the middle of our kete and my theme is patterns and plants.

Try-hackathon what do you think it is? Well I had to answer that to. Basically it is a competition where two of room 16 + 15 reading groups come together  and work with someone from both rooms to make a video about one of the  following topics from the weet-bix triathlon :

• Biking
• Swimming
• Running
• Nutrients
• Training for the try-Athlon

My team and I have chosen biking and have recently finished our script. It took a lot of Teamwork for our group of four to write a script of only 30 seconds tops but we did it in the end.

That is just a few of the amazing things I did so far this year.

How elephants got there trunks.

Ella the elephant was siting glumly on a big cracked rock. Evan though she had a full tummy (because she just finished her lunch )and lots of elephant friends she was unhappy. "whats the mater? her friend Richard asked.As he looked at her glum face."Well when I was eating my lunch all the bears Teased me about our noses and that they do not soot us"."Do you think its worth talking to them about that?" Asked Richard."probily not they will just teas us again. They agreed and walked of with there tails between there legs not waging at the slightest and there smiles turned up side down,the two large animals walked and walked.

About 15 mints later They came to a part of the wood they had never been to before it stated to get rocky then a large rock came into view with a tiny curve cut out made for a door. A tiny witch stiyeled hat stumbled out of the holeo rock with a wizard like creature under it she greeted them with great pleasher. Ella nearly fainted with surprise but Richard stopped her and said. "Um hello little sir how are you doing? I am good but you and your friend do not look so happy."Oh had a hard day but its good you fell good."We have to go now good by."

As the two elephant walked of they felt happy-er. They were nice to all the animals but when they saw a bears den with a bear siting out out front on a fold out chair they froze suddenly the brown furry animal moved ,and exclaimed ¨you came back elephants with your human like noses.¨ He looked up and strait at the two animals his eyes nearly poped out of his head. Your noses are nearly 20 cm long. He stammered. He rushed inside the cave and bout out a mirror. ¨Wow your right.¨suddenly Richards noses grew the bear nearly fainted with surprise  but Richard stopped him and said."Wow that was close there friend."suddenly Richards nose grew again. "Um well beater get going now."Ella finished for Richard As he was stearing at his nose blankly.

When they had gotten compleytly away from the bear and his cave the started to tale each other¨I ackly like are long noes dont you Richard. ¨Um sortof well I do but what will the other elephants think maby they will teas us. Oh I did not think of that yes they might they walked the rest of the way home in utter silence.

As soon as they got home all the elephants did not tease them they respeced them they loved there long noses. The two long nosed elephants rekeasted to talk alone so when they were all alone, Ella said. " This all stated when we saw the wizard do you think its got something to do with him? Um aktuly yes I do ,I was just going to tale you the same thing." The two large animals walked of to the unuoshill bit of the wood.

when they got to the little rock were they saw the wizard last ,they noked and there he was just as small and with a big grin spread across his face."glad to see you again um elephants your elephants ante you? Yes we are and do you know why are noses grew?"well yes i do you looked so glum and i sort of put a spell on you and made yours nose grow please dont be mad at me i tried to help."  "it was a very good choice you made every one loves loves our noses and they would like one two.

So of they went  and put spells on all the elephants  ,but of course they had to be nice before there noses got long enofe  so all the elephants were nice and all the other animals were nice to.

That is how an elephant got its trunk.

“Eww that stinks.” Yelled my 6 year old brother Tyler. As we approached our destination the smelly yet entertaining Rotorua. “Mum I do not actually worth the 5 hour drive to get to this smelly place I have never been to before? Asked Tyler Mum did not mind his moaning she was just glad to get out of the car.The next day Tyler was proved wrong My parent's friends started to arrive they all had little kids and all the kids looked up to me and my brother together we saw bubbling hot Mud pools , geysers  and went on the big splash sort of like the log flow at rainbows end. We also saw some a bird show , rainbow trout and Eels. After all that Excitement Tyler and I went to my Grandparents there we visited 5 of my cousins we swam at there house and we jumped from their pool on to their trampoline , played table tennis and collected fejowers.    

1 Climb Of The Wall.

Finally I got to the front of the line and then I heard a sudden click of a harness buckling in then a deep gruff voice say "up you go."  My strong fast fingers lead to the badly scratched handles as I near the top just then I looked down and saw a huge shadow towering under me. Wow .I started to sway but then I caught a wife of freshly cut grass that efficiently  gave me back my courage. The next handle I hat to jump to 321 my hole body when from on to off to on in a flash.The good news was...beep I had hit the shiny new flaming red button and that could only mean one thing  I have finished.
